Bendy and The Ink Machine Chapter 4 Review

It's been a hot minute, but I figured since I reviewed the last chapter, I should provide my view of the next one. Spoilers ahead, obviously, since it's a relatively new release. Initially, I wasn't going to check it out because of how disappointing Chapter 3 was, but out of curiosity, I took a look. I will start out by saying that Chapter 4 is much better than Chapter 3. It wasn't a sellout, and it wasn't a fetch quest. The first half of the chapter was a lot of the same, but the second half, starting with the first "boss fight" was pretty cool. I also thought the little...should we call it an "ink machine"...was pretty cool. There were only four options to craft, but the concept is nice. It wasn't used very much, and I think that's a shame because it would've been a neat trial and error type of thing. One thing to note is the length. I still think it's a bit short for the price, but this was a more substantial addition gamep...

Bendy and The Ink Machine: Chapter 3

Note: This was posted in comment form on John Wolfe's playthrough. I've seen the first two parts. Long story short, first chapter: good and promising. Second chapter: meh. Third chapter: this. Long time no see, John. It’s time to go back to critiquing the game in your comments section once again. I’d be severely ashamed if I supported this game’s development with actual money and got this. The cash grab ploy. Really scummy if you know about the tactic. Merch sells. Big names sell. (Those awful animated movies with popular actors voicing the characters are a good example.) Animal mascots sell. It doesn’t take a genius to see that they’re targeting a younger audience in this one. Kids will love it. Kids will beg and plead their parents for toys. They’ll want the game and they’ll play it over and over because “I love Bendy! Bendy Bendy Bendy!” It’s all a trick. Anyway, to the game itself. First, the only thing this game has going for it at this point is the art. The art is g...

Lazaretto: Chapter 1 Review

Image
Note: This review is from July 7th of this year. I posted it in the comments on John Wolfe's video. (Shameless plug for my favorite YouTuber) I watched the full playthrough, and the people in the comments seemed confused. The developer replied to my comment as I tried to piece together the story and give critique. Here's what they had to say: Here's the content of the review. I hope you enjoy. I think I can see sort of where the story is going. This might just be me making connections where they aren’t, but I’ll give it a go to try to help out. I also spent like an hour mapping out characters and events. (I have no life other than to analyze story.) You’re an urban explorer, and you go to Lazaretto to hopefully get some great pics to up your Insta followers. As soon as you get in, you find out that something went down, but nobody knows what it is. The most information you get was that it happened on a Saturday Night. Other Saturday Night events: Frank had to work ...

Blog Launch

Hey, y'all. My name is Tiki. You might know me from around the Internet, and you might have seen my large blocks of text on YouTube videos. I realized that I do a lot of reviewing, and I thought "Why don't I make a space to put them?" This blog is going to serve as my review hub, so I'll start using it frequently. I like to review things. I don't know if people actually read them, but I have fun with it. Keep in mind that I try to keep my reviews fair and that my area of specialty lies in writing, story, and character. I also have a lot of useless knowledge about film and technical stuff, but I am no means a computer/film expert. That being said, I hope you guys enjoy!
